My first #holidayread 🐝🐝🐝 Super clever writing from Laline Paull - I felt like I was in the hive with Flora 717 (main character) 🐝🐝🐝 really interesting take on going against the grain.. Flora and all other bees know that they must ACCEPT. OBEY. SERVE. But Flora's path isn't that straightforward!
A good read but I did find myself struggling through towards the end! Would make an awesome movie!

I think I quite like living in a 'truth bias' although it makes me wonder if some dalliances with mental illness is perhaps the first time our mind take us out with this truth bias? Everyone out to get you.. being insincere.. #mentalhealth just a thought 💡

I followed the creation, and eventual self-publishing, of this book through her online blog so when I bought it (at a meet and greet event she did in Edinburgh) I was really looking forward to reading it.
An easy read - this book spoke to me on many levels - as a mum, a woman, a wife - & I'm a kinder, more compassionate queen for reading it 👑👍🏼
