Absolutely stunning- a beautiful reflection on family, fate and immortality (and a love letter to San Francisco, to boot). Simon's section and Ruby's character took my breath away.

This should be on everyone's "to-read" list for 2018.

The writing is fresh, honest, and so powerful. The subject matter is painful, but also inspiring. The resilience of young people and portraits of Starr's family keep this book close to my heart.

What I meant to say was "You will always love him and he will always love you. Even thought he is not here, he was here and no one can change that. No one can take that away from you. If energy is neither created nor destroyed, and if your brother was here will his humor, his kindness, his hopes, doesn't this mean he still exists somewhere, even if it's not here?"
