I did not want this one to end! I love a good romance, these names tho!! Eb and Greer. Took me a few minutes to picture names with genders. Another great summer read. Summer is coming to an end, I wonder how many more summer romance novels I can squeeze in?

Another easy really good summer read. I love a good Mary Kay book, not too many characters, she develops them well.

I need to keep going with the summer books. No brainers. This one was good, easy read but not as good as some of her others.

It was a good enough story, but the jumping back and forth..... and the ENDING JUST SUCKED! All that for that ending.... I won't read another Tyler.

I had no idea this was based on a real person and was a true story. It was an easy read but achingly hard at the same time. I wouldn‘t say I enjoyed the book, so much as it was educational, interesting, read unfathomable hardships left me with lots of questions.

I liked the first one better this is the sequel to Firefly Lane. Seriously....just kept getting worse and worse. Very well written, loved her style but not an uplifting sequel.

Great read! I found myself wondering the streets and bridges of Paris and wanting to visit the same places. What a different time. I wish there was more about Sebastian tho...

Read with my high schooler over the summer. Good read, violent. I sometimes forget that the we take for granted our feeling of safety. The word "crude" comes to mind when thinking of this book and the era in which it was written.

Great read. Loved the characters. Sad. True friendships that have ups and downs. True love is a gift both, spouses and friendships.

I read this over the summer with my teenage son. He had to read it as summer assignment work. Interesting read, for sure a teen read. Good but hard to follow in places because of the era of the language but I believe that was the point of the assignment.

LOVED this book! How fascinating it was to put myself in that era. So incredibly humbling. The true meaning of "it takes a village". I enjoyed it.

AileenRR It might be time for me to reread this one. I remember loving being in that world 3y

I found myself very angry with him, leaving his wife to care for ALL their children alone while taking this wonderful trip of a lifetime. I found him very selfish, but the book was well written and found myself in the places they visited.

This was a rough one in a few places for me personally. Very well written, kept me interested. Had no idea that orphan trains existed. I think thats a job I would have LOVED! Different towns, meeting new people and helping match children to their forever families, however, back then it reads as though it was 50/50 to receive a nice home.

Slow read for me, however, I enjoyed the book. The characters were sooooo real. Well done. Sad but not depressing. "The dead. No more'n a breath. You let that last one go and you're with them again." Love that quote.

This was a personally emotional read for me. I LOVED it. Great read, read 6 pages, put it down...then read some quick review updates from my book club and opened it again and didn't put it down till the end. I was shocked in the end. The killer wasn't who I thought it was. It was hard for me to follow the character changes and year changes in the beginning but hang on, you catch on.....
