There are so many stories from our nation‘s history that need to be more well-known. I don‘t think I‘d even heard of sundown towns till recently, and this book is some thorough education. Further, we haven‘t fully reckoned with this pst and these things still affect us...

I love this - in a world of Kings and warriors, it is the little people who bring the biggest change, with a little help from luck or Gods providence (depending which you prefer).
I‘ve always hated how most of the action in the story takes place right at the spine of the book! I suppose this was corrected in other editions.
