Most beautiful book inside cover I‘ve ever seen. Taken from Fairest from Marissa Meyer - the Prequel Novella of the Lunar Chronicles series. . . . . Also... if you have Instagram, please follow my bookstagram at canadiangeekmom ! Thanks guys!!!

My lofty #tbr for the month, not including audiobooks. The Selection series are quick reads. The Novellas are very quick and the Nora Roberts one, bed of roses aside, is for Halloween.

I read on average 13-14 books a month so I have little doubt I'll finish this.

I am back. I have spent much of the last two months sick - in fact I am sick again. I have dug a lot into reading. I did 14 books in August and I'm 12 books into September - two of which were TOD and ACOWAR, so long af ones lol. I'm finally getting into the Selection series so I am very excited about that. My new library card is going to get a workout 😍

Ahhh. So freaking beautiful. My boyfriend and I got into an argument and this was how he apologized too me. -- I am feeling a little better now that the antibiotics have ran their course and I'm starting to eat normal foods again. I will start to be around here again (yay). I've read 4 books on my TBR plus a few others. I'll get into those as I update my page. Sorry for my absence guys.

I have not disappeared. I am still alive. I had surgery on my mouth (they literally had to go scalpel happy on a root fragment left behind from an old extraction). I've been reading lots but not really in the mood for social media. I will get back to things soon. 🤘🏻

rabbitprincess Ouch! Hope you're feeling better soon (and that you take this opportunity to eat all the ice cream, frozen yogurt, Jello, or other delicious cold treats of your choice 😉). 7y

I read this in one sitting. I couldn't put it down!

My heart genuinely hurts from reading this. I read the last chapter or two, I can't remember, actually sobbing. I thought Raine and Jaz would ride off into the sunset and all would be well. I was NOT expecting that ending. I love how the author gave the ending a silver lining.

I also love how she handled the topic. Very well done. Much better than other books have done.

The #augustgrrrl #wildestdream challenge was easy for me. For me, it's always been Alice's Adventure in Wonderland. A book that just gets me. A book that first let me feel understood. In my wildest dream, we would all live in wonderland. How amazing would that be? I would LOVE to have Cheshire as a pet 😻

#augustlibrary17 #booksacrossoceans. First time I've ever done these challenges so let's do this!!! This is my August #tbr and I know the reality is I probably won't even come close to reading this many but I am going to push hard this month. This also doesn't include my audiobooks I'll be listening too. 😻😻 if I read all these I'll be proud of myself. I average 6 a month so... it's possible *fingers crossed*

1. Instagram
2. Goodreads mostly (find me by searching Chibi Rikki)
3. EBooks. Most of my books are on my iPad (iBooks, kindle and kobo) but I do like finding hardcovers on sale.
4. No lol. I just try to stalk them a bit to figure out what they're reading. Social anxiety is too bad for that.
5. No
6. Empire of Storms. 😰
7. Ridiculously Hilarious
8. Buddha and the Borderline
9. Geekerella or ToG series
10. The Borderline and her Cat

Just started this today - 41% through it. Absolutely hilarious. Will be posting reviews of other books I've read lately but had to squeeze this one in. Absolutely loving it.

Unlike *other* contemporary fiction writers, the nature of the story telling here is believable.

I have been reading a fair bit of contemporary and they're usually the same thing - our lovers fall head over heels in love, very minimal issues amongst themselves, intense whirlwind romance then some external conflict comes around *eyeroll*

I love how REAL the characters are. It doesn't feel forced. Solid all around.

One page into this and already I am feeling weary with it. I loved the first two books. Disliked the second couple. Really hated the second book of the second couple. Usually - the Once Upon a Time intros are really good. The first one was stellar and one of the reasons I fell in love with the series... this one... just seems forced. It doesn't flow. Ugh. I hope the book turns out better than this. If this is what's to come, i might cry.

Am I the only one who uses sticky notes in my books? 😱. I usually read ereaders and I got into the habit of highlighting. I didn't want to destroy the book so I opted for sticky notes!!

ON HOLD. I couldn't finish it. It was just sooo slow it was driving me mental. Whether or not I finish it, we will see. I am super disappointed by this one. I fell in love with the cover when I saw it at Indigo earlier this year. Goes to show, you can't judge a book by its cover.
