Good cozy mystery. I'm going to have to disagree with heroine's dislike of peaty whisky. Although it's definitely either you love it or hate it thing. I think Laphroaig smells like heaven on earth. My husband says it smells of burning electronics. 😏 #whiskydrinkingwoman

CarolynM My husband loves Whisky, I never did until I tried Lagavulin. I think that smells (and tastes for that matter) like gasoline - and I love it! 6y

Bookwomble I used to be the Customer Relations Officer (for which read, "Person You Can Complain to About your First World Problems" Officer) for a national supermarket, part of my area of responsibility being alcohol. We had so many complaints that Islay malts were "contaminated with disinfectant" that one exasperated distiller wrote back to me asking us to stop selling their product to philistines with a uneducated palate! ?? 6y

Ubookquitous @missnavigation Compass Box, makes some unique whiskey but it doesn't meet the official requirements of 'scotch' - Peat Monster, Flaming Heart, and some others. You can usually find them in a good liquor store. 6y
