And today‘s post for #colormepretty, #CMYK! @sweetkokoro

I think Fruits may literally be the single solitary magenta book I have in my whole library (at least the part of it that‘s with me right now). Before I noticed it, I thought I might have to substitute a decorative object for that color. 😁

Ok so ummm YoSaffBridge; my favorite #villain in the ‘Verse, didn‘t traditionally originate in comic book form, but her backstory is being read via that medium.

Watching the #film based on the book. Heartbreaking story. The #psychologist in this film is a true #villain

#Villain

Jadis, the White Witch of Narnia ... such a nasty piece of work.

I‘m playing catch-up for #MayLovesClassics!

Leftcoastzen Darling illustration.❤️ 1y
Bookwomble @Leftcoastzen Pauline Baynes, the favourite illustrator of both Tolkien and C. S. Lewis 💕 1y
LeahBergen @Bookwomble I look at any other illustrations of Narnia with distaste. 😂 1y
Bookwomble @LeahBergen Ha, ha! Me too ☺ I visualise Narnia completely in terms of Pauline Baynes's images. 1y

Well, I was going to go with the debonair and dastardly Count Fosco, but he‘s already been feted for his devilry, so I‘m going to choose the lovely and lethal Lydia Gwilt from Wilkie Collin‘s Armadale for my #villain. She‘s smart, beautiful, charming, and ruthlessly manipulative. Even as she smiles seductively, she‘s plotting murder. Collins still manages to make her well-rounded and even sympathetic at times.

Bill Sikes is quite a nasty, evil, dare I say dastardly #villain who pissed me off on so many levels as I read this book. Ugh.

Trashcanman Oh man, Dickens. I've tried but just can't hang with his prose. 1y
trazo Hurts to see the scared pooch 😢 1y
sprainedbrain @Trashcanman so far I‘ve only managed four, and they are hard work. 😂 1y
sprainedbrain @trazo I‘m telling you, this guy made me angrier than a fictional character should! 1y

I always have trouble picking a #villain because, like Jane Bennett, I try to find the good in people (at least fictional people) and try to consider their reasons and motivations for their behavior. However, I think it‘s pretty clear that Ambrosio more than earns the title of villain.

Palimpsest Nice pick! 1y
sprainedbrain Most definitely. What a creep. 1y
Daisey Good choice! 1y
CoraHirashiki Yes, he was!! He looks way older on this book cover - looks much closer to being 60 instead of 30 10mo
