pickThis was a crossover of two of my favorite series and it got pretty dark in the Fables world. If I wasn‘t a fan of Fables, this wouldn‘t have made a lot of sense so I can see it confusing or frustrating readers that haven‘t read both series.
pickI‘m late to this series and I know it gets mixed reviews but I love it so far. It‘s meta and literary and there was a freakin‘ choose your own adventure bit in this volume which made my inner child squee with delight.

so-so#WitchyReads Day 14: Loosely based on the popularity of Harry Potter, this series is a headtrip and very meta. Tom Taylor (modeled after HP) remains at a loss as to how to harness this power within him. He grows impatient with Lizzie and Savoy (think #Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley) as he tries to figure out exactly what he needs to do. Then naturally he dies. Or not. The Unwritten is one of my all time favorite #comics! It's a crazy ride from start to finish. This particular issue (36) is the start of Vol. 7. Pretty darn close to the conclusion.
This is a great comic. The first volume is only the beginning of what becomes a crazy cool sprawling epic! Well worth seeking out!
