So I am calling my #StayHome24in48 at 7 hours of reading.

Between cleaning downstairs (the pup may have environmental allergies?) and 2 long walks this weekend, I didn‘t manage to meet my goals, but I did finish Angels‘ Blood, and only have 3 chapters left of Les Miserables volume 1 :)
I didn‘t get to start on Perfunctory Affection though.

Book 5: The Descent.

Fantine seems to be catching a break at the end of this book. We also meet Inspector Javert and the mayor M.Madeline (who I am pretty sure is Jean Valjean though I have only seen the film version of the musical once so can‘t be sure!).

Interesting to see the story progress and develop :)

Book 4: To confide is sometimes to deliver into a person‘s power.

I was a little confused with the timeline here. I was pretty sure the last book was set in 1817 (Cosette‘s conception) However here Cosette is 3 years old? And she is left with a couple at this age, in 1818... or am I misinterpreting the time the previous book was set?

Regardless I feel sorry for how Cosette is treated in this book.

ElizaMarie I thought I was the losing my sense of reality too. I mean I was super bad with timelines and I tend to ignore dates sometimes when I am reading so I figured maybe I just remembered seeing a different number.

But yeah, I was a bit confused about the timeline and the ages and what not. Also yes... it was super heartbreaking to read this part about poor Cosette and her being treated this way. 4y
