Kevin is an unhinged t-rex; Victoria, his wife — and one of my besties —, is embarrassed by his antics; I‘m tickled pink; & Amelia is blissfully unaware & just trying to take a nice picture. 😅 If you look carefully, you can see the “4” peeking out from my “40” glitter confetti earrings.

3/4 of us are in a book club together!

A quick #75soft update for @AllDebooks

I‘m really enjoying this! I‘m (loosely) following the framework at https://www.theshabbycreekcottage.com/75soft.html as is - no intentions, no goals, just checking in with each point each day & recognising what I need.

So far, the meditation & journaling have been the real big deals for me - taking time to check in with myself, see how I‘m doing, & look at the things that need addressing.

I've had a calm morning. I've set my intentions (sounds less stressful than goals, right?).
I really have been 'panic reading' over the last six months. I am tearing through book after book for a distraction. It's not helping. So, I'm going to slow my pace, choose books carefully around mood or curiosity, & read mindfully.

So…as sad as this makes me, I didn‘t love the text. I don‘t have kids, so maybe it would go over better with them. However, I absolutely LOVE Blythe‘s artwork. Her style is one of my favorites and I‘d reread this just to look at the pictures.

Today is an awesome #bookhaul #bookmail day! My preorder of my internet friend‘s book arrived and I can wait to read Blythe‘s first book as both author and illustrator (I LOVE her artwork), a Le Carre i didn‘t already own, and my March LibraryThing Early Reviewers win, Denver Noir. YAY!!
