5. Yes

#showyourkindle #catsoflitsy

Kaye Thanks for answering. Wow, you have a huge assortment too ! Funny that your cat is modeling the cat cover. Sorta like the Vanna White of the book world. 🐱 👗 👠 💎 6y
rubyslippersreads @Kaye I get lots of freebies, plus I share my account with my BFF, so many of the books are hers. Nicky says maybe he‘ll get a job on a TV game show. 😹 6y

3- everyday !
4- too many to count.
5- yes! It also lives in permanent airplane mode so my library books don‘t expire 😂
6- n/a
7- yes I love my origami case.

Also the Voyage is being discontinued which is a travesty! I would recommend getting a refurbished voyage while you still can. It‘s the perfect midrange model.

1: Yes
2: I have a paperwhite.
3: probably daily, I read all my Netgalley books on it.
4: umm 2734.
5: nope I use my tablet for that.
6: no audible.

Kaye Wow ! Now that‘s what I call a Kindle library ! Great selection ! 6y
kezzlou85 Thanks. Hopefully I'll actually read them all. Lately I've been trying to keep up with all my Netgalley books. 😊 6y
Sace I really love that case! 6y

1. Currently one Voyager with 2 cases. I like the one on the right b/c it‘s so simple.
2. I have owned several Kindles, starting with the first gen that I bought used. When I upgrade, I hand them down to our family.
3. Every. Single. Day. Especially when I have a sleepless night.
4. 199. It‘s a kind of TBR.
5. Not as much as I should. OTOH, I have a large Kindle library.
6. No audio
7. See above

#showyourkindle

Kaye Thank you for the answers. So in what ways are the Voyagers different then the Oasis ? 6y
Kaye Sorry for the double posts. Having trouble getting the comments to post. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Kaye I think the biggest difference is that Oasis is waterproof. The shapes are also different, which means you hold them and use them a little differently. But Oasis owners should chime in also. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Kaye No worries. Litsy is buggy. 6y

1. Do you own a kindle? Yes, i have 4.
2. What version? Two Fire, one PW, and one old school.
3. Every day.
4. Oh my...thousands. And more on my laptop.
5. No, I rarely borrow Ebooks from the Library.
6. No Audible...yet. :(
7. Cases for all.
@Kaye #kindlequestions #showyourkindle

Kaye Thanks for answering. A nice selection there. Do you read almost 100 % on Kindle then ? And no wonder you don‘t use the library for ebooks if you have thousands already on your devices ! You own your own library all in one of those small gadgets. Pretty handy. I like the light green cover. Very pretty. 6y
goodbyefrancie @Kaye I usually have a kindle book, an overdrive book, and a physical book going all the time. How I read depends on where I can read. Usually kindle before bed, on flights, or sitting on the porch in the evening, overdrive at work on in the car, and a real book most of the other times. 6y
Kaye I always envy people that can keep multiple books going at once. I‘ve never been able to do that. I‘ve definitely got a one track mind. 6y

@kaye #showyourkindle

1️⃣ A Kindle and a Kobo
2️⃣ A Paperwhite and a Kobo Glo HD respectively.
3️⃣ Daily for both, though more the Kobo than the Kindle.
4️⃣ Nearly 800 on the Kobo and nearly 150 on the Kindle.
5️⃣ No
6️⃣ I don't do audiobooks.
7️⃣ I have auto-wake cases on both.

#kindlequestions

Kaye Thanks for the answers. I‘ve been curious about the Kobos but have never seen one in person. Are they the ones that have the Walmart ebook cards ? The skin you have looks just like @joscho ‘s 6y
tournevis @Kaye I do not know how to get then in the US. Outside of the US, especially in Europe and if you read in other languages than English, the Kobo and other Europe-based readers are better, because they take epub, which Kindles don't. 6y
Kaye Yea, I think I read someplace they use ePub , and that it possibly goes through Adobe ? I‘m not sure about that part. I‘m pretty tech challenged so not sure how they work. I saw the ebook card things at our Walmart but no Kobos. Not sure if they were sold out or they just hadn‘t gotten them in yet. I think they just made that deal a couple weeks ago to sell them and the ebooks. The cards look a bit like a gift card with the cover of the👇🏼 6y

Kaye Book on it. The husband said they probably just have a code to type in somehow to download the book. So Kobo Glow is like a Paperwhite ? And can you check out library ebooks that are compatible with it ? 6y
tournevis @Kaye Epub can go through Adobe, if it had DRM. Non-DRM cannbe loaded directly. There are books that come on cards and those often have DRM books in epub format. Some even also have moby. They are rare overall though. 99% of my epubs I buy DRM-free from publishers. My Kobo model is extremely similar to a Paperwhite. The big differences are in software. The newer Kobos are a smidge better than current Paperwhites, this month at least. 6y
Kaye Thanks for that. I wasn‘t sure how they worked since I have yet to see one. 6y
tournevis @Kaye FWIW, all e-readers work mostly the same way, except that the Kindles are siloed more than any other, except the Sony ones ten years ago, but no one uses tue Sont readers anymore anyway. 6y
Kaye I had one of the Sonys many years back. They were a real pain to load the books. I‘m glad they‘re so much easier now to use ! 6y

1/ yes
2/ Embarrassingly, I own 3 - a regular one, a Paperwhite, and a Fire.
3/ At least once a week; sometimes more — it‘s generally the PW that I use.
4/ 197
5/ No, but only because I use the library ebook apps on my tablet instead.
6/ The sound quality for Audible on my Fire is fine.
7/ Yes — the one above is the one on my PW.
#showyourkindle

Kaye Thanks for answering. Your skin is pretty. We both have close to the same number of books also. I used to own a Fire but we gave it to someone who needed it to download school books for a class she was taking. 6y
KathyWheeler @Kaye I don‘t like my Fire very much. It‘s the $50 one and it doesn‘t have a lot of space or memory. It‘s also heavy. 6y
Megabooks I have that same cover on my iPad 😁 6y
Kaye Yea I never liked reading on my Fire after getting an iPad. It feels too clunky. 6y
KathyWheeler @Kaye My iPad is a few years old and it‘s not nearly as clunky as that Fire. 6y

📌yes. 📌 I have a paperwhite 📌several times a day usually. 📌181. I just deleted a whole bunch this week. 📌all the time. It‘s how most of my books are obtained. I believe in library books. Ebooks are books. 📌I don‘t have audible. 📌 I bought the case which was protective in the color that was cheapest. Lol. When I bought this, I didn‘t realize how much I would use it. #loveit #showyourkindle

Kaye Thanks for the answers. It‘s refreshing to see that someone uses their kindle so often. That‘s my goal is to try using mine more. 6y
Samplergal @Kaye I have an IPad that I use as well. But, the reflection off the screen is terrible. I can‘t use it outdoors at all. So I didn‘t enjoy e books. My hubs gave me a kindle for my retirement and he made sure it was good for outdoors reading. Love it. 6y
Samplergal I‘d replace it if I could get Libby audiobooks on it. That would be the only reason imho. 6y
Kaye I agree the iPad isn‘t good for out in the sun. You can barely see the screen at all. 6y

Samplergal Cute cover. When I have to buy a new kindle I‘m going major cute like that. 6y
Bostonmomx2 @Samplergal @CBee thanks. It was super reasonable on amazon. I think only like $15 or something. 6y
