I will definitely be reading The Many Daughters of Afong Moy for bookclub and My Year of Meats for #AuthorAMoth. We‘ll see which of the others I‘ll get to!
#Bookspin remains my favorite monthly challenge, helping me choose a couple of the books off my shelf and library holds lists.
I actually started Starter Villain yesterday, so that‘s perfect! And my #Doublespin in January is Stories from the Tenants Downstairs, which I‘ve been wanting to read since the year I saw the author at #TXBookFest.

pickI enjoyed this reimagining of the Rumplestiltskin tale. It‘s a darker YA fantasy, but with some romance. There is also a good dash of spookiness (perfect October read) with the Erlking and his ghostly retinue. It could use a little trimming in the middle (it‘s a bit repetitive), but the climactic scenes were thrilling and it ends on a cliffhanger. Will definitely have to seek out the sequel to see what happens!

Squaring her shoulders, Serilda tried to be more conscious of the physical limits of her body. She reached out to them again. They were more hesitant, but as Serilda‘s hands found their arms, their cheeks, their hair, they again pressed into her.”
After therapy donut 🍩 and book 📖 time. Getting to the really exciting point of this book!
Took a brisk little walk this morning and following it with #coffeeandabook - vanilla latte with an extra shot and an egg and cheddar biscuit sandwich
