1. I tried the audio book for the tagged book, but I think it's something I'm going to need to see and read. It's a shame because I did love listening to the author.

2. I was thrilled that my local library had a physical copy (why didn't I check there first?)

3. Why the hell do I do this to myself? All these holds are going to come in the same week. I just know it.

Lifeisasnap The Dutch House will be a fairly easy read. So that‘s a plus. Not sure about the other two. Good luck! You might be surprised one might not come for weeks. Our library was like that. (edited) 2w
CoverToCoverGirl I predict you will be right... they always come in at the same time! Lol 2w
Sace @Lifeisasnap I'm looking forward to The Dutch House! I'm trying to read more of my own books this year, but I mostly seem to want to read newer books from the library! 🤣 2w
Sace @CoverToCoverGirl I'm sure they will. Right after I make my weekly forecast post! It will screw up all my plans! 2w

And another hold comes in 🙄

Palimpsest I borrowed this book from the library, but I want to own it. Very informative and funny. 2w
Sace @Palimpsest I've only listened to a little bit, but it might end up being one of those books I want to own. 2w
UwannaPublishme I loved this book. It‘s hysterical! Enjoy! 2w

Fascinating read! My favorite part was the punctuation. Proper nouns was fun also with the above two sending me into paroxysms of giggles! My least favorite part was grammar. Ugh. Still don‘t enjoy that! Overall, a more interesting and fun read than one would think with the subject matter. 4⭐️

Eggs Wow this is right up my alley. Word-Love 4w
Megabooks @Eggs Enjoy!! 😊😊 4w
mom2bugnbee The but about Reddi-Wip reminds me of the frustration that my elementary school teacher neighbor experienced when Taco Bell came out with their Stuft Burrito. 😂 I've been thinking about adding this to my TBR, & your post has pushed me to it. ☺ 4w

Megabooks @mom2bugnbee lol! You‘re a vet, too, right? Okay, if so, I‘m reading another book, and I think it‘s fake. I‘ll tag it. It‘s supposed to be the real diary of a teenage girl and she does “eight pink ketamine pills”. I didn‘t think K was metabolized in the GI tract. I thought to do it recreationally you had to cut and snort or reconstitute. Need your professional opinion to find a fake! 🕵️🕵️ (edited) 4w
mom2bugnbee @Megabooks From what I could find, ketamine is mostly metabolized in the liver, but I did see that it said that the GI tract is an additional site "for animals". I'm assuming that this means non-humans? And it's lipid-soluble, so it *could* be absorbed by the GI tract, but as you know, that doesn't mean it is. I'm thinking you're right! 4w
Megabooks @mom2bugnbee Thanks for looking into it. From what I found, it seems oral pills are illegally manufactured. I seem to remember something about inconsistent GI absorption, which is why pills aren‘t popular/commercially available, I assume. Plus it seems, from what I could find on “how illegal drugs affect you” websites that the high only lasts 45 minutes. I‘ve never taken drugs recreationally, but that doesn‘t seem worth the money. Bail review here 4w
mom2bugnbee @Megabooks Funny, when you said that she's takes ketamine pills, my first thought was "it comes in pills?" Welp, shoulda checked with a professional! ? 3w

This was a lot of fun and I will have to get my own copy. Dreyer's examples neatly clarify how to use words that are easily mixed up. I also liked when he pointed out uses that have arguments on both sides or where there is no wrong answer. Editing is not black and white.
