1. South eastern Wisconsin, USA 2. @KevinHearne posted about it and I'm a fan girl so I jumped on board 3. HP, Twilight (#unpopularopinion) 4. Yes his name was Tommy and he was a paint turtle rescued from my dad's welding shop at work. #welcomelitten This is my favorite place to be- I hope you love it as much as I do!

intothehallofbooks I love Twilight, always and forever! #noregrets 7y

The Burning Page | Genevieve Cogman
post image

Finished rereading Breaking Dawn (because I am #NotAshamedToLoveTwilight); gonna start The Burning Page after hanging out with my hubby for awhile. Not nearly as far along into my #24in48 as I had hoped but I'm enjoying my day so much that it all good. Happy reading, #LovelyLittens !!📚📚❤️

MidnightBookGirl There's no shame in loving Twilight! I'm sad that it's become popular to bash it, it did a lot to bring adults to the YA section. 7y

#Publishedinthe2000s Oh Twilight, for all thy faults, I love thee still. The 2000s will always be the Twilight years for me. These books came to me at a time when I really needed them. Hate all you want, I still love them and will forever.

TheBookAddict I really enjoyed the books. The movies on the other hand...are a different story. #thebookisbetter 💕📚💕 7y
Joybishoptx @TheBookAddict I remember staying up all night to finish Breaking Dawn. I love the movies too. I won't lie. Not as much, but I still love them. I love the soundtracks. I see all the movies the cast members are in now. Twihard all the way! Haha! 7y
minkyb I totally get the love. I remember reading these with my daughter and actually seeing the movies as midnight releases. Yes the writing was poor but I loved them! 7y

Joybishoptx @minkyb Saw all the midnight releases. Each year saw the old ones before the new ones. Still have shirts and bags and blankets and copies of the books in languages I don't speak. I have the board games. Ha! Out of control. 7y
AmandaL Your feelings about these books mirror mine almost exactly. 7y
Joybishoptx @AmandaL You are not alone 💕 7y
MidnightBookGirl I am sad that it's become popular to hate on Twilight. The last book came out before I moved from Oklahoma to Virginia and my friends and I went to the midnight release party and stayed up all night reading. I had them sign my book, and it's one of my favorite things. 7y
[DELETED] 3517561138 I do too!!! And I feel exactly the same way. These books saw me through a struggling time in my life and they were just what I needed in that moment. And I still unabashedly love them, faults and all. 7y
[DELETED] 3517561138 I'm so glad it's not just me! 7y
Notafraidofwords I skipped school to watch the movie after reading the books. Don't judge me 😳 7y
Joybishoptx @MidnightBookGirl That's awesome! I've gotten so much nastiness from people. Finally I just gave up defending. It's not cool to hate on what people like. 7y
[DELETED] 3517561138 Oh the music is the best too! I love the Pandora 'Twilight' radio station! And I loved the movies too, just not as much as I loved the books. I still watch them and think, damn Jasper was so underutilized in these movies. And that hairdo of his did him no justice! Dude is hot!! But you'd hardly notice given the lack of screen time and terrible 'do! 7y
Joybishoptx @Prairiehomelibrarian Yep! I can say that about all kinds of books too. 7y
Joybishoptx @Prairiehomelibrarian not just you at all! I have a dear friend who went through all this with me. We still wistfully remember our obsessive Twilight years 7y
Joybishoptx @Notafraidofwords No judgment here! 7y
mjdowens I was wayyyyy out of the teen years when I read these. I have never cared what anyone thought. I enjoyed reading them, and I still watch when they are on TV. 7y
Joybishoptx @Prairiehomelibrarian Jackson Rathbone is amazing! I saw his band! He's so much fun. Totally underutilized. Eclipse is my favorite movie because of him. 7y
Joybishoptx @mjdowens Oh yeah. Me too. We have a saying in our house. If a Twilight movie is on, we are watching it. 7y
mjdowens 👍👍👏👏👏 7y
[DELETED] 3517561138 Yes! Jackson in Eclipse was fantastic alright. Still not enough of him and his lovely face! And I saw the OG Victoria on an episode of Law and Order SVU this week and had to call a friend to tell her to watch it and we reminisced about our days of Twilight movie marathons and how much we preferred the OG Vic to the Howard girl. 7y
[DELETED] 3517561138 Yep, I drug my friend Becky with me to the first movie after devouring the books myself in less than a week. She hadn't read them but I didn't want to go to a movie alone at that time. As soon as the movie was over she said "okay, you're going to have to lend me those books!" 7y
Joybishoptx @Prairiehomelibrarian So true. I preferred her too. She would have been vicious in Eclipse. 7y
monkeygirlsmama I think I only read the first book, maybe the second also. But I did see the full movie series. They weren't my favorites, but I've read and seen worse. 7y
Jhullie I love them too. 👍❤️ 7y
Librarianaut #notashamedtoloveTwilight they are just wonderful to get lost in when you need an escape from reality ❤️ 7y
Joybishoptx @Prairiehomelibrarian haha! I actually scoffed at them at first. Then a very trusted librarian friend insisted I read it. I was hooked. 7y
Joybishoptx @Librarianaut I love that tag! 7y
Joybishoptx @monkeygirlsmama I know they aren't for everyone. But I had one person accuse me of being unfit to teach English because I liked them. Seriously? People are crazy. 7y
Crewgurl Not fine literature but highly entertaining. I liked them too 😊 7y
monkeygirlsmama @Joybishoptx Wth?! That's nuts. Everybody's different and with all the variety in genres, authors, styles, and stories it's unrealistic to expect everyone to like the same things all the time. And to suggest you are unfit to teach because you like one over and other, that's just dumb. (edited) 7y
Joybishoptx @Crewgurl 💕💕💕 7y
Joybishoptx @monkeygirlsmama that was the most extreme hate I ever got. Ridiculous 7y
Librarianaut @Joybishoptx that is crazy!! Small minds... 7y
JenniferJarrell Not ashamed to say it - I loved Twilight. 7y
cariashley I'm with you. Before I read these in 2009, I was a total book snob. In a weird way they were totally the gateway to genres I never would have touched before (YA, romance). 7y
Joybishoptx @cariashley I agree. I totally got in to those genres after Twilight...the gateway book. 7y
JessClark78 I enjoyed Twilight. I have the books and the movies. 🙂 7y
Joybishoptx @Librarianaut Thankfully this wasn't someone I knew very well. 7y
Joybishoptx @JessClark78 yay! 💕💕💕 7y
Cortg No shame! I devoured them when they came out as did my daughter. I call them book candy. 7y
Joybishoptx @Cortg they're good books to read with friends 7y
sprainedbrain I am not afraid to say I loved this series too! 7y
Centique I loved them too. I told a girl at work that I needed a new obsession and she introduced me to Twilight. I was pregnant and hormonal and it was the best escape! Twihard forever 🙂 7y
StrayCat13 These books came along at a time when I desperately needed an escape. I love them! 7y
rubyslippersreads Twilight is a lovely "guilty pleasure" that none of us should feel guilty about. ? #NotAshamedtoLoveTwilight 7y
