so-soI listened to this on audio with my kids and personally found the narrator...well, let‘s just say it was not to my liking. 😉 However, my kids really enjoyed it. They wanted me to find the 2nd one in the series on audio and I have strongly encouraged them to read it themselves so I don‘t have to listen to another. 😁 #momoftheyear #middlegrademarch

ImperfectCJ How interesting! My kids and I love Katherine Kellgren's narration and were so disappointed that she wasn't able to narrate the final book. There are a couple of characters (Margaret the maid especially) whose voices are quite shrill, though. 4y
Tracyantoon @megnews @ImperfectCJ Shrill is a great way to describe it. Also the howling of the kids got rough for me too-my 3 year old would howl right back at it. 😳 It was just too much for me-I kept trying to turn the volume down but continued to get complaints that I needed to turn it up from the kids. It is well loved just not by this mommy. 😉 4y

ImperfectCJ @Tracyantoon Yeah, 3yo howling back would be a deal-breaker for me, too! When they get to the final book, you can try the audio again, maybe. Fiona Hardingham narrates the last one, and she doesn't “do“ the voices quite as much and Kellgren. 4y
