🎩 I started this yesterday for my book club on Saturday. That‘s the 5th book I‘ve read part of this month, and I have finished 0 for various reasons.

pickA story about love and family in all its forms. I really liked these characters and their unusual family dynamics. Patchett always creates such vivid, specific, interesting characters and relationships.
This was a fun read. She‘s a charming speaker. Now I have another to add to #serieslove2024 and probably more still to add later.

pick4 ⭐️ Usually I read more graphic and gore thriller/mystery novels and this one was a smidge too cozy for me. Still loved it and will definitely read the second - how can you not be intrigued by a cursed stage magician who tries to solve the mystery of her assistant‘s death?! Delicious food with recipes included makes this a book you shouldn‘t read on an empty stomach.
