Tokyo Tarareba Girls volumes 1-3

Entertaining story of three friends in their 30s looking for love. I enjoyed the first two volumes, but got slightly annoyed with the main character in the third volume. Overall, I still like the series - good josei 😉 Oh, and did I mention that it‘s by the same mangaka from Princess Jellyfish (which, I still need to finish reading too!).

Perfect World, volume 1

With Pochamani, the female lead is chubby.

And now, with Perfect World, the male lead is disabled. Well, not saying that I enjoy that he‘s disabled, but instead it‘s refreshing to also learn about the reality of being in a relationship with someone with numerous health needs. It isn‘t easy, nor pretty. It‘s reality.

Everyone‘s Getting Married, vol 7

Asuka is moving up the career ladder and Ryu has been given a position in Washington DC. Good things happening - or, isn‘t it? 😆 Wow! And only 1 more volume left before Ryu and Asuka‘s story comes to an end. 😊

•Great story about prostitutes in Japan's Edo Period
•Candid, honest, & revealing about Japanese social system amidst middle- and low-class citizens.
•MC is flawed as fuck & can be irritating, but her stubbornness is refreshing.
•Illustrations are a bit inconsistent with sharp panels here, & almost cartoon-like, comical quality where nudity & sex is concerned.
•Overall, not bad but could've been better.
