The Silence of the Girls was very good! It was definitely not my usual read and a tad gross for my taste but it was so well done. I did not finish The Gilded Wolves so I do t feel like I should review it. I just never got into it. 🤷🏻‍♀️These are my #LMPBC reads for this last round and will both be in the mail today. #GroupV #GroupL

I am so late finishing my second first #LMPBC book for this round. I am getting both this one and Rivers of London in the mail today. #GroupL #GroupV This one was a soft pick for me. I enjoyed it mostly and it could be my mood lately but I just couldn‘t get over that she was complaining a lot about getting to spend literal years living in France. 🤷🏻‍♀️

BookishBelle @Mynameisacolour This is headed your way today! @DanaManiac @Kdgordon88 I received The Silence of the Girls and am starting it next. 1mo
BookishBelle @sprainedbrain I am sending you Rivers of London today. @persephone1408 @TheSpineView 1mo

This was such a good book! The storyline was great. The characters were likable and there was plenty of crazy magic stuff going on. This is my #LMPBC pick for #GroupL. Starting The Windup Girl, my #GroupV book for this round next!

BookishBelle Tagging y‘all in the comments because my app crashed last time I tried to post this with all of you tagged. @sprainedbrain @persephone1408 @TheSpineView @Mynameisacolour @DanaManiac @Kdgordon88 2mo

Ericalambbrown The audiobooks for this series are extraordinary!! I‘m relistening ti them now in preparation for the 9th book coming out soon. Kobna Holdbrook-Smith narrates them all and his performances are outstanding. 2mo
BookishBelle @Ericalambbrown Thank you so much for letting me know! I‘ll have to check them out. I‘m always looking for a good audiobook for my commute. 2mo

Kdgordon88 I‘ve read and loved Tell the Wolves. All the rest look great. I would lean towards Book of Longings but only because it was on my #NewYearWhoDis list. Two birds, one stone.🤷🏻‍♀️ 3mo
BookishBelle I‘m most interested in Interior Chinatown. Also interested in The Book of Longings. Would read all of them though. Great picks! 3mo
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Tell the Wolves I‘m Shone is soooo good!! 3mo

Hey #LMPBC #GroupV! Here are some picks from my TBR shelf. Don‘t mind the kitty butt in the shot. She wouldn‘t move. Let me know what you like, don‘t like, have already read.

Kdgordon88 My first pick would be Mastering the Art of French Eating but they all sound interesting. I‘ve read and loved The Martian and would happily reread it. 3mo
Mynameisacolour Ooh lots of good options here too! I've read The Martian as well. My first choice would be The Windup Girl but I'm open to any of them. 3mo
DanaManiac Hey! Lots of interesting picks here! I think The Windup Girl would be my first pick, but I‘d be happy to read any of them. 😊 3mo
BookishBelle Okay. I‘ll go with The Windup Girl unless there‘s an objection. @Kdgordon88 @Mynameisacolour @DanaManiac 3mo
BookishBelle @Kdgordon88 @Mynameisacolour @DanaManiac I am really struggling to get through The Windup Girl. It‘s got animal abuse and a gruesome slaughter of an animal and I‘ve just learned that it has some sexual violence in it as well. I know I can handle these things if I have to but I read for fun and I am not enjoying this book at all. Would y‘all be terribly put out if I switched my book to Mastering the Art of French Eating? 2mo
Mynameisacolour Totally fine here! 2mo
Kdgordon88 Yes, please do. I can do without the things you‘ve mentioned. 2mo
DanaManiac Of course! Totally understandable!! 2mo

I tried to pick from different genres. Do any of these tickle your fancy? If not, I have plenty more to choose from.
These are all paperbacks and I‘ll tag the others in the comments

Mynameisacolour You've got some good options here! My #1 pick would be The Silence of the Girls and #2 would be the tagged book. I haven't ready any of these though and would be good with any of them. 3mo
DanaManiac Hey! these all look good to me 😊 3mo
Kdgordon88 Going with The Silence of Girls. This is shaping up to be a fantastic round! @Mynameisacolour @BookishBelle @DanaManiac 3mo

I struggled a little to get into this novel, but soon I was hooked and flew through the last 2/3! It was interesting how some storylines engaged me more than others. Very reminiscent of Station Eleven (5/5⭐️)with evocative writing and shifting narrators, settings, and time periods woven together to create a multilayered tale. It left me feeling pensive as I considered how even the most insignificant choices shape our lives. #LMPBC #GroupV
3.5/5⭐️

Readergrrl I will have this in the post today for @Alfrazier21 3mo

I enjoyed this thriller! It‘s subject matter was dark but had spots of humor and interesting characters (many of the “love to hate” variety). Thanks for the #LMPBC pick, Amber! It‘ll be on its way to Cynthia on Monday.

This was a fun read… not especially deep, but fun! If you‘re a fan of 80s/90s slasher films, unreliable narrators, and fast-paced action, then this may be the book for you! I‘ll give it 3/5⭐️ It‘s on its way to @Alfrazier21 and should be there in a day or two. Sorry it took me so long to finish. Holidays, planning for midterms, general chaos! 😂 I‘ve received The Glass Hotel @Karisa and I‘m about to dive in to that tonight! #LMPBC #GroupV

Karisa Agreed with all of the above! 😅💗 4mo
Alfrazier21 No worries!!! Excited to read this one! I met the author last November and he was seriously the nicest person ever!! 4mo
