Linsy @Scochrane26 Agreed! There's something satisfying about how Harry leaves at the beginning of each of these books. He doesn't just quietly let the Dursley's dictate his life. He takes control. It's a huge disruption every time. 4y

It‘s never a “hey, see ya next summer” it‘s running screaming in the other direction! lol I always kind of wonder why the Weasley‘s don‘t take him in after this. They know he‘s being abused. Or even the Granger‘s. I don‘t think the Dursley‘s would mind if he just never came back. 4y

Scochrane26 @GingerAntics They can‘t because of the magic that allows protection for Harry, but he does seem to spend less & less time w/ the Dursley‘s in later summers. 4y

GingerAntics @Scochrane26 did I forgot that from the book? Magic? Couldn‘t that magic just be transferred to someone else‘s house? At one point he was going to go stay with Sirius. Was that not going to be possible, too?! 4y

Scochrane26 @GingerAntics I forget when dumbledore tells him that. He & Sirius talk about Harry living with him, but dumbledore doesn‘t know that. Harry has to return for at least a short time, 4y

GingerAntics @Scochrane26 oh that‘s right. So it‘s half-blood prince at the latest. Why do I feel like it‘s Order of the Phoenix, though? I sort of remember now. I can‘t wait to reread that bit again. 4y

Why did I take so long to read this. This is one of those books that I kick myself for not reading when I had the original galley. Now, do not be fooled. While Zed may look like a cute little minx (and he is) this is not meant to be a tale for children. Depending on your feelings about course language will depend on if you will share it with anyone younger than middle school.
