Got this as an easy poolside Spring Break read and it didn‘t disappoint! Some eye roll predictable points but also some unexpected additions which made this easy to read.

I love Jennifer Weiner but I felt that this one didn‘t call to me as her previous ones did…I was so wrong!
I loved this story. Abby and Sebastian will forever hold a place in my heart (and so will every character in this story!). This is a story about putting yourself out there and trusting yourself, that all those worst-case scenarios will most likely never come true. And that you are worthy, no matter what you look like.

2-27-24: My 4th book of 2024! I really didn‘t care for this. The writing felt juvenile for some reason. Charlie hates his life and is given a chance to change it in a very drastic way. Then along comes Aude who helps to make his life better than he could have imagined. They must jump over some hurdles to make it work but in the end they find the right balance. It was very predictable and a little boring because of the predictability.⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣
Well that was a treat (in a weird, gloomy kind of way 😆). Thanks for putting the book in my hand @Rissreads . The inner lives of women of a certain age. Very relatable even though the book was set in a time and place where not getting married was considered sad and unfortunate. Some may say this is still the case 🤷🏻♀️. I loved Brookner‘s writing. She capture ideas, life‘s moments and “truths” so simply and effectively. I‘m keen to read more…
Not my usual read. But I needed something light and fluffy and my #bookspin this month delivered. Cute cozy tale from a tiny English village with a good community and books.
@Rissreads is such a bad influence, in the best possible way. We were at the same show last night, sitting on opposite sides of the theatre. Nerissa comes over at interval to give me a random bag of books that she has ‘saved‘ for me. How lucky am I? 🥰👏📚🙏
This was just the right side of charming for my frazzled brain. I love this author‘s style (she‘s Ann Patchett‘s mother and it shows in her insightful descriptions). It is fun and easy to read but never so sweet it made me roll my eyes. A dance teacher, looking forward to retirement, has her sister move in and her grown up children getting up to mischief. A comforting, easy read.
Life hurts. It‘s full of heartache, loss, and disappointment, and even the best things come salted with sorrow. But you can‘t leave yourself open to the good things—happiness, true love, real connection—if you aren‘t willing to risk being hurt 🚲🛣️
I loved how Mallery explores the relationships in this book, she does it so well. Characters that you can't help but fall in love with. This book felt so real that the characters jumped off the pages, and it all played out in front of you. The storyline was heartwarming and emotional. Some of the issues she about normally would weigh a book down, not here,I reached the end, and it was all perfect.
