I enjoyed the last third of this book, but there was a really long road to get there. I feel like most of the beginning was trying to prove that the world the main character, Jude, lived in was terrible and she was treated unfairly.

I‘ve been waiting for this book since I devoured The Cruel Prince when it arrived in an Owlcrate box what feels like eons ago!
Jude and Carden‘s story continues in this book with some epic twists, turns and a final chapter that lands a gut punch!
I loved being properly introduced to the other kingdoms in this book and can‘t wait to see more in the third instalment😁

Although it took me until about half way through the book to really get into it- when I did....wow! I cannot wait for the next book-it‘s magical, descriptive, no instalove and the scene in the coronation....incredible!
