Late because the Litsy app would not cooperate and let me add images last night! As an English professor, here are three of my favorite words to say out loud:
* onomatopoeia
* abecedarian
* soliloquy

Any other #TeachersOfLitsy want to chime in?

A practical guide on the topic of sexism at the level of microaggression, where the author offers advices on how to act and lead the conversation when we find ourselves in such a situation, which I find rather idealistic and even naive. What did I learn? That I'm a benevolent sexist. #audiowalks

Audiobook is Scribd original and it isn‘t the Litsy library.

I subscribe to a multitude of book centered newsletters,and as a result I make purchases. When the book arrives, I often have no recollection who or what encouraged me to believe that I must read this book! I need to keep a journal for these mysterious books that float into my life…or not. Here is the latest to arrive. #bookmail

I gave this a try on audio and it wasn‘t for me. The concept is nice and I‘m sure it was a lovely exercise for the family, but it didn‘t feel to me like something that needed to be put out into the world. It felt self-indulgent and theatrical.

Interesting read
I would say 80% accuracy, however to be taken with a grain of salt (age of their friends, neighborhood they are living in, big city life). It's always difficult for me to read books about French culture, as I always notice generalizations, or inaccuracies, or sometimes wrong interpretations.
Fun fact: yes, if you ask me, a French person, "how are you doing?", I'll answer the question honestly. (Can't get used to the American way).

catsuit_mango Additional fun fact : in my city Toulouse, people say Bonjour to the bus driver when getting on at the bus stop. But you get weird looks if you do that in Paris ;) 10mo

When mother Diane was diagnosed with a terminal lung condition, she was told that walks may increase her lung capacity and prolong her life. She and daughter Laura used these walks to say all the things and ask all the questions they had for each other. Laura taped their conversation where they shared thoughts about acting, parenthood, divorce, and favorite foods (recipes included). I recommend going audio!

A beautiful conversation ( I listened to the #audiobook) between mother & daughter will remind you what a gift it is to have a mom in your life. Even when you disagree the bond that you share is precious. Bold, honest, uncomfortable and heartfelt, I was warmed from the love & wisdom shared by Diane Ladd and her daughter, Laura Dern. Perfect gift for Mother‘s Day🫶🏼
Forward is read and written by Reese Witherspoon.

Megabooks I love Reese‘s jokes with Laura on Insta, but they‘ve both been buried from my feed now that I‘m back on it. 🤔🤔 12mo
