Hard subject matter but such a good & important book. I was a senior in college when Columbine happened & I remember the media coverage. I remember sitting in horror & watching it all unfold. Cullen was there from day 1 watching, reacting, trying to understand & then reporting on what was happening. He‘s dedicated his career to reporting about the horrors of school shootings that are way too common place in America. He‘s thoroughly investigated

ncsufoxes what lead up to Columbine as well as the aftermath. There was so much unknown at the time about who & why Eric & Dylan did what they did, he lays it all out there. It was fascinating but sad to learn more. The media‘s role was also frustrating & disgusting to see how they can frame the narrative just to be the first to report. Definitely one that makes you think & sticks with you. #bookspin #nonfiction2023 prompt: Zombie (used throughout book) 11mo

1. Huge Wally Lamb fan, when this book came out I made a big show of buying the hard cover from a book store and saved it to be my first book January 1 and by gosh, I couldn‘t tell you what it was even about but I HATED it and donated it with disdain as soon I finished.
2. Hmmm, nothing comes to mind but Outlander doesn‘t interest me after reading one years ago.

JenReadsAlot Oh I agree with Outlander! 1y
RaeLovesToRead Quite a few people are saying Outlander! Doesn't look like my sort of thing 1y

Whilst going through my read books list on Goodreads I realised I had missed these two books!
I loved both. The tagged book was obviously devastating, every mothers worst nightmare! I spent the whole book shaking my head in disbelief.
These precious days were essays on life, love and death. I enjoyed them all!

This book was recommended to me by my English teacher, and I love it. This book was so good! I can‘t even imagine how someone could write this! The amount of research the author must have done is insane, and the way it was written gave me goosebumps!

This book is so terrifyingly beautiful that I am at a loss of words.

I wish I could give more stars, but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Shame did not register; neither did fear. Psychopaths are not individuals losing touch with those emotions. They never developed them from the start.
