First coffee and a bit of Homer to start the day right. Today is going to be a full day of studying bridging materials in preparation for uni starting back. I started yesterday but my daughter is at nursery all day today so I‘m dedicating the day to such pursuits. 🐞

Really enjoyed reading in the garden all day today whilst the babies played outside. Minus one or two bumps it‘s been a great day. I‘m over halfway through The Oedipus Cycle and yes, it‘s just as amazing as I recalled it being. Can‘t wait to get to Antigone.

I‘ve decided to reread some Sophocles. I haven‘t read Antigone (my favourite Greek play!) since the summer before last so I think I‘m well due a reread. 🙊

I‘ve put aside vol one of Anaïs Nin‘s journal and The Second Sex for a little bit whilst I read these lovelies! I want to savour the Nin so I‘m reading it very slowly, whereas I‘m hating The Second Sex and just want it to disappear. I‘m really enjoying Phaedo. I‘ve only read the introduction and a few pages of dialogue so far but its good. Once the little one is in bed I‘m going to enjoy reading the rest of the book. I‘m doing as well with The Second Sex which seems clunky and preachy and a bit OTT. After a very early wake up (5am! Sheesh!) myself and the little one are in bed full of corn flakes with pop for her and coffee for me.
