pick4 ⭐ This book is an oldie but a goodie. Pinkerton is a Great Dane, who has a lot of trouble learning their commands. So much so they flunk out of obeisance school. However, when the house is invaded by a burglar Pinkerton will save the day, even if the family has to use the “wrong” commands to get the “right” answer.

Fun idea spoiled by poor ebook formatting (random hyphenation presumably carried over from where necessary in the print edition) and bad editing (many homophone mistakes). This doesn't convince me that I need to add it to the many series I've got on the go.
pickTHIS BOOK. This book and the other six in this series are my exact pot of tea. A smart and incredibly funny thief with a moral compass keeps getting himself out of the wildest situations. Wonderful, funny mysteries. Junior Bender is like who Archie Goodwin would be in today‘s world. 12/10. LOOOOOOVE these books.

When I was little my dad gifted me a year subscription of picture books - delivered via mail once a month. It was the best thing ever and I still have 8 of them. So this 1966 edition of an old witch is a treasure!
