Mehso-so

We've been having a lot of rainy days here lately so I thought we'd try this book out. The story has potential that I feel isn't really harnessed (a girl is stuck inside on a rainy day and everything she tries to do to get rid of the boredom goes wrong). They end up going to the mall at the end?? There are some cute Easter eggs in the illustrations though, with her cat doing funny things and her mom looking in on her with amusement.

Chrissyreadit I love this picture!!! ❤️❤️❤️And wondering about some Recommendations - I want to send my daughter and her girlfriend books for All Hallows‘ Read, any amazing books off the top of your head? 2y
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @Chrissyreadit Thanks! 😊 Halloweeny favs of mine are Beetle & The Hollowbones, both of Emily Carrol's graphic novels, My Favorite Thing is Monsters, and Fist of the Spider Woman: Tales of Fear and Queer Desire. I have Squad by Maggie Tokuda-Hall on hold at the library, which I hear is really good too! 2y
Chrissyreadit I bought the Squad for myself after your quiz- I figured I‘d send it after I read it 🤣thank you!! I‘m looking them up now. 2y
Chrissyreadit OMG!! Beetle for the win- Brynne loves both Steven Universe and Adventuretime- and that is what this is compared to 🙌🙌🙌 2y
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @Chrissyreadit Yay! It is so sweet and wonderful. Hope your daughter likes it too! 2y

Laundry Day is a MF picture book about two badgers, Tic and Tac, that are trying to help their mom but they seem to get into a little bit into trouble along the way. This book is best enjoyed as RT. Here is a great activity from the Author that includes activity pages and so much more information http://www.jessixa.com/activity-pages

Spearsall This book seems like it can be very relatable to children especially ones who have siblings. They will be able to use a lot of text to self connections which is great! 3y

Betrinag This seems like such a fun, and easily relatable book to have in the classroom! I love that the author provided coloring activities to go along with the book- this allows for students to do something they know they enjoy, and adds a creative spin to an assignment. 3y
DrSpalding With all of the beautiful metals on the front, you can see that you made excellent book selections. This might be a great read aloud in a kindergarten classroom! 3y

Pickpick

#BoundTogetherJune Day 19: “Are We There Yet” is the most dreaded question on a #RoadTrip. The title alone says everything, as most parents, uncles, or anyone who has taken care of a child in a long #RoadTrip can attest: hearing these words repeated ad infinitum can drive even the most patient adult up a wall. My review of this humorous story here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-eGW
