Down a Dark Hall | Lois Duncan

#LyricalApril #UmaThurman I googled 'Uma Thurman movies from books' & found out she's in an upcoming movie of a childhood favorite; Lois Duncan's Down a Dark Hall. It shot partially in the Spanish Canary Islands in December. Interestingly, Stephenie Meyer (yes that one) optioned the book & her company is producing it. I also learned that Meyer produced Austenland--a fun Austen-inspired movie from a book that I love. Very bookish all around! 📚👍💜

batsy I really enjoyed Austenland and didn't know there was a movie! I should check it out. Also, I only discovered Lois Duncan after her death and read Down a Dark Hall recently because all the writeups about her made her books sound like just the thing I would have loved when I was younger ... And it terrified me as an adult, lol. Yay for the movie! 7y

DebinHawaii @batsy The movie is cute and fun with Keri Russell. 💜 I reread all of Lous Duncan's books from my childhood a few years ago then reread my favorites after she died last year. She definitely influenced (and scared) me growing up! ❤️📚 7y
