bailedAt the risk of being forced to delete my Litsy profile and surrender my reader card, I‘m officially bailing on The Stand. I absolutely dread listening to more of it, and am finding excuses to listen to anything other than this book. It‘s interminable. Parts have grossed me out and I don‘t care about any of the survivors. Sorry #constantreaders, but I‘m out.

The HistorianLibrarianJen It‘s ok! I‘m reading King‘s memoir on writing but haven‘t ever been able to read any of his actual books. I respect the guy but his brand of horror and me just don‘t mesh! 6y

KrystleTheBookSlayer I loved up, but I certainly I have read some polular books that I could not get into at all, so it's okay! I feel like this would be tough to listen to on Audio 6y
LibrarianRyan I have not read it but I watched the entire 10 hour movie. The first two hours are the best. The rest was never frigging ending. So I don‘t blame you. 6y

IamIamIam @DGRachel That was last summer and I quickly remembered all the reasons I broke up with SK!!! 🤣 To be fair, summer is always tough with my kids being home so during the school year, it probably wouldn't have taken as long. 6y
DGRachel @IamIamIam I feel you. I have bailed on more of SK‘s works than I‘ve completed. Now, the few that I‘ve gotten through, I‘ve enjoyed, but most of his stuff needs to be shorter. 😂😂 6y
