This was an important listen, but I did sometimes find my mind wandering a bit and had to refocus. It‘s a book that made me stop and think about things I had never really thought about and also gave me a clearer perspective on some topics. #Nonfiction #audiobook

I am nowhere near finishing #ReadingAfrica2022, so since the author is Nigerian, that‘s where I‘m putting this one on the list. #Nigeria

BarbaraBB An important read indeed. I loved it but my husband and @Cinfhen found it a bit dry too so I know what you mean! (edited) 1y
Cinfhen #TeamS on this one @BarbaraBB and this one too 😉 1y

BarbaraBB @Cinfhen Haha who would have thought 🤣 I ‘ll keep you posted about his next read. He‘s often VERY critical but he loved the tagged one. Just saying! 1y
Cinfhen Hmmmmm, interesting 🤨 @BarbaraBB who would have thought?!? 😂🤣🤣 1y
Daisey @BarbaraBB @Cinfhen I absolutely think it‘s important and most of the time I was fully engaged, but there were a few times I wasn‘t. I‘m definitely glad to have seen it here and read it! 1y
Cinfhen Yes, agreed! But I was happy to have read this book, plenty to think about 🤓 1y
Daisey Also, #BookSpin 19 for November! 1y

A must-read for work, but definitely not mad about it. Incredibly helpful insight given in the form of a story.

tokorowilliamwallace I read this as a college textbook, wow, like 15 years ago---one of the better leadership guides we were assigned. Now if only those who purport to appreciate the methodology actually practiced it; why is business and work culture still so terrible, indignifying, uninspiring, cold, and such? 2y

Mehso-so

Stefano Mastrogiacomo is a management consultant, professor and author, Alex Osterwalder is an author, entrepreneur and speaker. This jargon-heavy, somewhat clunky guide to building and operating teams to implement projects has great graphics by Alan Smith, Trish Papdakos and Chris White and offers accompanying precedents and sheets from a tie in website but is very broad and overly procedural and isn‘t appropriate for every type of project.

This was actually really interesting. I've read 2 other books by this author and this is my favorite so far. It works well as an #audiobook also. Not to bore you all about a management book, but this is about bringing different parts of an organization together to work toward a common goal.

Thanks to @janeycanuck for her recent post about this book! I‘m not in the executive business world, nor am I even a manager. I‘m just a member of a team that is on the cusp of experiencing a lot of changes at work; new team members, new boss, and losing a long term member. This book is helpful and super easy to digest. Definitely gave me some ideas for helping build our new team. Highly recommend.

Our leadership team is very focused on our team for 2021 and ensuring we can succeed as we continue to be fully remote for at least the next six months. We‘ll be discussing how we function as a team throughout the year, starting with a group read of this book, which is SO DAMN GOOD. Our team is by no means dysfunctional but there‘s always room for improvement and in understanding how to function at our best. Highly recommend this.
