While this was a cute start to this rom com/cozy mystery, it was way too long.

Book #2 for October - Mystic Pieces
Unfortunately this one I rate a 2/5. It was just a boring story with boring characters for me. The concept could have been interesting but it didn't work out for me.

Soscha These cozies for me are all about their pets/familiars. Honestly…give me the animals!!! 2mo
ShyBookOwl Cozies are so hit and (mostly) miss for me, but I just keep trying. Sometimes, I just need to start one, then I get bored and realize I've gotten what I needed from it, and I don't need to finish it lol 2mo
RedxoHearts @Soscha maybe that would have helped this one! I love the familiars/pets especially when they are more interesting uncommon ones. I think my favorite was the last series I read that had a goblin/gargoyle that shifted into a little piggy for the humans 2mo

2/5 - Pan for me
Not my cup of tea... This story just didn't work for me. The end was quite disappointing too. Not fan of the writing style.
But I'm glad I've finished it on time for bookclub today, and I write this review while having coffee and strawberries with crème fraîche and a little bit of sugar, miam!

LOVED this second book in this series. It was impossible to put this book down. I love the way Kay hoopers books give little pieces of information throughout the story and then everything ties together perfectly at the end but leaves it open for the next book.

Library cover vs. the cover I had growing up. I think they did a reissue of her books when I Know What You Did Last Summer became a movie.
A teen nearing high school graduation develops psychic abilities that catch the attention of a local police officer.
This was a fun read, until the end. Very predictable twist, very toxic/borderline inappropriate relationship.
It was interesting to read this and The Dead Zone at the same time 😋

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

This was probably the darkest out of the series so far. I had to keep checking that the book was published in 2002 since the villain's hateful beliefs were unfortunately very timely. I'm sad this is almost the last one in the series. It's been a fun, fast-paced ride throughout.

My least favorite so far of the series, but still enjoyed it. It took a while for the pieces of the whodunnit to come together, but I'm still invested in finishing the series.
