I'll be honest: When I first listened to the audio, I thought it was just okay. And when I saw the movie, I thought that too was just okay. It wasn't until much later that it hit me how this story of a US -botanist astronaut stranded on Mars deserves a place as a SF Classic with its themes of human problem-solving and hope for humanity. #OffPlanetEarth #FunFridayPhoto

LitHousewife I've not listened to the audiobook, but I certainly loved the book and movie. That the math and science involved didn't bore me to tears surprised me. When I'm enjoying something that much, I can overlook and forgive any flaws I notice. You're reaction & my husband's are very much in line, though. I was just happy to love it. 🤗 8y
