And we‘re done! Working out my TBR for the Magical Readathon before I decide what to pick up next. (I passed 12 OWLs, but I don't think I can pass the number of NEWTs required for Alchemy). #magicalreadathon

I'm back and happy to say that I finished the OWLs readathon with all the books I wanted to read.
(Though I needed only 7, I finished 10 doing some reading challenges on Goodreads)
Maybe I will become that metal charmer after all.
What is your dream magical career?
Did you finish your OWLs on time?

Now I need to study, but I am not feeling my best so I decided to start the next book for #HPbuddyread
Already crying in advance.

Hope everyone had a successful time sitting their OWLs! I completed all my required coursework and then some:

Ancient Runes
Arithmancy
Care of Magical Creatures
Charms
Defense Against the Dark Arts
Herbology
History of Magic
Potions
Transfiguration

Which means I got an Outstanding on my exams 🦉

I successfully completed all 12 OWLs! I loved the majority of them - God Emperor Of Dune and Unicorns of Balinor were just not for me, but the rest were 5 star reads for me. I was pleasantly surprised by The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and a Man Called Ove, I did not expect to love them as much as I did 💛 #owlsreadathon2019 #magicalreadathon

Arithmacy OWL: 3.5 ⭐️

This had the same fun atmosphere as the previous novels but it didn‘t have as much of a sense of adventure as the others even though there was one. I really like seeing the separation of the group because we got to see more of the interactions of the girls. Mal and Molly are absolutely adorable and I can‘t wait to see more of them in the future!

History of Magic OWL: 5⭐️

Though I don‘t fully agree, I definitely understand why people say this is the point when Harry stops experiencing the joy of magic and starts to understand the impacts it has. We meet Moody and saw how “he” opened up the world of the dark arts truly for the first time to Harry and his classmates. My favorite part though was how hard Hermione worked to be both types of best friends to Harry when he needed her the most.

Charms Owl: 4⭐️

I watched the show originally and was really excited when I found out it was based on a book. It's the most casual use of fantasy I've ever read and it made it super easy to follow along. Manfred is a psychic who just moved to Midnight to start in someplace new and quickly fits in with the people who call it home. Each character has something a little different about them that makes them unique and perfect for Midnight.

Schnoebs @birdsong I‘m using this for a book about a cult for #52booksin52weeks because there‘s a white supremacy group called the Men of Liberty in it and are focused on stock piling weapons to protect themselves from the immigrant invasion and what not. And from what I read, I think this will be the closest I get to a cult lol 3mo

Care of Magical Creatures OWL: 5⭐️

When you go into a Flintstones comic, you don't expect it to cover the amount of hard hitting topics that it does. This volume covers a variety of topics ranging from caring for those you don't know, the meaning of religion and how science plays into that, war, politics, and consumerism. I highly suggest it for anyone that wants a quick read on something that addresses serious topics in a light and fun way.
