Yey! Looking forward to reading this with the 4 year old. Another book of the authors tagged as I can't find this listed yet.
LOVED this series as a kid! Franny K. Stein is my favorite mad scientist. This series is about a young girl named franny who is somewhat iced out by her classmates because of her strange behavior and has to battle the tons of creatures and awkward situations some of which she creates herself. This SF story in particular talks about the time that franny decides to chance her middle name but it‘s not as simple as she would think. #UCFLAE3414SU19
I‘m so pleased - my 8yos reading has taken off this year. His new teacher has a homework points system so he gets points every night he reads. It was just the extra motivation he needed and now he‘s reading for an hour a day and wanting more and more books 🙌
Three new series he loves. He wasn‘t going to read Nik and Tesla because the cover didn‘t appeal to him but I said just try 5 pages - “this book is actually excellent‘ 😆 #mumwasright
As recommended by Dr. No, Doctor Doom, C. A. Rotwang, Fu Manchu, Frank N. Furter, Dr. Moreau, Hank Scorpio, Adrian Veidt, Victor Frankenstein, Young Rossum, Eldon Tyrrell, Dr. Strangelove, etc.
#madscientist Feel free to suggest your own 👨🔬👩🔬😁
Even though very little happened in this volume, I enjoyed it and really love the art. I hope the next two volumes will move along more though. #screamathon
Current bedtime read with my eight year old.
It is my deepest desire to be a mad scientist. I wouldn't murder people, but you bet your aunt fanny I would genetically engineer everything.

I enjoyed the art and where the story is going (I think) but the whole volume felt like filler. She doesn't even meet her creepy new employer until the final frame. That said, I am looking forward to learning what the heck is actually going on in volume two.
"You are brave. You belong in Gryffindor. And don't forget it."
How appropriate to read an HP reference today!
