I know there are many here so show yourselves 🙋🏽 I'm currently an academic librarian at a regional branch campus. I started in public libraries as a paraprofessional and also worked at a small independent bookstore and Borders. #librariansoflitsy #bookworkersrollcall #librarianintraining #bookishwork #bookstorejob

Booksblanketsandahotbeverage My first job out of college was Barnes N Noble ❤️📚 7y
littlelibrarian I worked in public libraries for five years. I did everything from circulation, technical services, storytime, management. While in library school, I was a graduate assistant in special collections and worked with a rare book cataloger. I started a job as a high school Library Media Specialist in August. I want to do a little bit of everything! 7y
pocketmermaid My bookish career started with Waldenbooks, then I went to Barnes & Noble, then over to Borders! Then I got into library work, both academic and public. I‘m currently a Young Adult Librarian at a public library. 😃 7y

I was rereading The Prophet when this passage caught my attention. Although my morning was super busy at my practicum, I enjoyed every moment I was working in the library. It feels so satisfying to love the work I'm doing. #librarianintraining #reread

Some days your #bookmail is more exciting than others... Put off buying it for a long time but checking out the library's reserve copy for two hours at a time just wasn't cutting it. 💸💸
