He talks not only about queer people being required to act a certain way in public for the comfort of people around them (covering), but also covering demands placed on people of color, women, people with disabilities, and others. pickThis charming collection of comics follows Phoebe and Marigold, the unicorn that Phoebe wished to be best friends with after saving her from her own teflection. I absolutely adored this first volume. The jokes are often aware of themselves and flow nicely with the loose storyline, really creating great characterization. so-soWhen I was a teen, I fell in love with Octavia Butler's Imago. I loved that some children in that world were born genderless and later chose their genders. I enjoyed finding that again in this world, as well as a combination of magic and science. Overall, I was not captured by this book. I felt like I missed important parts of the story that connected earlier events to later ones, and earlier emotions to later ones. #LGBTQAuthors #LGBTQBooks

She does a great job of organizing her experiences and the experiences of her friends and family into big-picture themes. I loved the audio's narrator as well.
