EadieB I found the book to be too convoluted and didn't understand the science that was presented in the book and I found it therefore boring. I loved that Seichen met up with her mother and did enjoy that aspect of the book. I'm just going to mark it as a one off writing for James Rollins and move onto the next book. I did give him 3 stars for writing the book. 7mo

so-so

This book was a slow start for me, but once I started, I couldn't stop!
There is a lot going on. Multiple stories all at once slowly coming into one story. I enjoyed the book.
That said, I hated the ending. The book itself was very good, but it was a lot of build up for a lackluster ending.
Worth reading once.

Ice Hunt | James Rollins

I really enjoy Rollins's mix of science and imagination. He bases his works on science and extrapolates from there. In this stand alone, he has some unsuspecting Alaskans swept up into a hunt for an ice station that is newly found. Problem is, the Russians want it too. So it is covert warfare at the top of the world.
