Day 17 - #3Books #IHated

#You #CarolineKepnes - Bad language and explicit sex.

#TheGirlBefore #JPDelaney - Bad language and explicit sex.

#SomethingInTheWater #CatherineSteadman - I didn‘t think what was found in the water was very exciting like a body would have been.

JackOBotts Agreed on #SomethingInTheWater. Just felt like a letdown. 4y
MsMelissa I also hated You. 4y

gobecauseyoucan Agreed, especially for being a Reese pic, I felt letdown over Something In the water. 4y
EadieB @gobecauseyoucan Great! I thought it was me but you guys make me feel better! @JackOBotts 4y
Ruthiella I didn‘t hate You but I thought it was too long and I also commented at the time on the depictions of graphic sex and violence. 😣 4y
EadieB @Ruthiella I just had to stop reading it as I hate when bad language is used constantly and actually doesn‘t make sense after a while so I didn‘t read enough to get anything out of the plot. 4y
sarahlandis You was so bad. Couldn‘t Believe they made it a show 4y
erzascarletbookgasm Something In The Water...now you‘ve made me curious as to WHAT was found in the water. I always assume it‘s a dead body. 😆 4y
EadieB @erzascarletbookgasm That‘s what I thought at first too. But don‘t want to say as not to spoil it for others but it‘s a disappointment for sure. 4y
EadieB @sarahlandis There are a lot of people who liked it, I suppose. Just wasn‘t for me. 4y

Playing Nice | JP Delaney

I misjudged the amount of time my few errands before work would take, so I‘m parked in the corner at work an hour early, reading until my shift actually starts. (I‘m pretty ready to have my mind blown by this, that‘s become pretty standard with Delaney.) #playingnice #jpdelaney

#8 #MoreThanOneNarrator #LitstBitsy

Claire Wright is hired by a firm of divorce lawyers to entrap straying husbands. Patrick Fogler's wife is found murdered. Claire is asked to lure him into a confession. Claire will soon realize she is playing the deadliest role of her life. I listened to this audio which had more than one narrator. It is a twisty plot that kept me guessing until the very end. Hard to know who to believe. Highly recommended.

This author gets me everytime. The storylines are just crazy mad! The characters are believable and you can't help despising or feeling sorry for them. The book covers some difficult topics, which did make me wince in parts, but it added to the overall effect. Loved it. Can't wait for the next one! Thanks to Netgalley for my ARC. #playingnice #JPDelaney

I loved The Girl Before, J.P Delaney's previous book and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. This book was a great read too just when you think you have it all worked out another plot twist is thrown at you, leaving you wondering again who did kill Stella? 🤔 This book kept me feverishly turning pages. I eagerly await a third book from this author (already pre-ordered to my Kindle!). #jpdelaney #believe me #tea_sipping_bookworm #goodreads

It‘s been a while since a book has made me second guess myself as much as JP Delaney‘s book, “Believe Me.”
Believe Me is that twisty thriller that will have you constantly changing your mind about “who did it.” Nothing is as it seems in this cat and mouse murder mystery.
There is no straight road to the truth in this book but instead takes the reader on a zigzag hairpin ride until the end.
