Just came across the #MtCookbook tag and decided that it‘s about time for me to give my cookbook shelves some attention. I think my goal will be to decide to either #readordonate ten cookbooks by the end of the year. Most of these have been fun to collect, but I‘ve only used a handful of recipes in them, as I look online a lot for the recipes I use. These aren‘t all my cookbooks, but this is the bulk of them. Since I need to start eating ⬇️

slategreyskies (Cont.) more healthy meals (low sodium, gluten free and anti-inflammatory), some of these cookbooks may no longer work for me. Looking forward to going through them and finding the ones that do, though! 3d
Tamra Yay! 👏🏾 We‘re happy to have you join in! I always enjoy seeing others‘ cookbooks and what they think of them. 2d
Tamra We have several in common. 😊 2d

mabell I spy a few I have too! 2d
slategreyskies @Tamra it‘s a dangerous tag to follow, as I can see myself easily adding more cookbooks to my shelves after I see some of yours! 🤣 2d
Tamra @slategreyskies 😅 I know I‘ve already succumbed! 2d

Score for $1.99 😃 Sometimes good things come to those who wait. I‘ve checked this out of the library a couple times.

Happily adding elevation to #Mtcookbook

Going with cookbooks for today‘s #BreakInTitle prompt. I have had these two Breakaway cookbooks in my collection for years. I like the author‘s use of flavors & ingredients in different ways for fusion dishes. The Asian Pesto Udon & Maccha Salt (used on the poached eggs) are two favorites recipes that I make on a regular basis. 😋

Last night‘s dinner! #mtcookbook I love this cookbook. I use it sometimes when I need a fun finger food type dish to take to a gathering or when I want to make something quick and easy. This is by the makers of those “quick hands” videos on social media. (I call them quick hands because I have to keep pausing and rewinding to catch all the ingredients, oven temp, bake times, etc.) Anyway, this was a delicious and easy meal to make after work.

mabell I‘ve used quite a few of the recipes from their site! 2w
Tamra Funny, two nights in a row I‘ve made a chicken tenders recipe from a Delish book! 2w

Got this book at Bob‘s Red Mill in Milwaukie, OR, just south of Portland, OR on vacation. So cool to see the headquarters in person! They have all kinds of Bob‘s Red Mill products at my grocery store in the natural food section. There are 31 recipes I want to try making in here. No pictures of recipes, though. I want to see how it‘s supposed to turn out!

For me, this is a #borrownotbuy. That said, it looks like it has some incredibly interesting spice/seasoning ideas in it, several of which I plan on trying. I hadn‘t thought of putting a spicy blend on a fruit salad, for example, but I think it sounds like a great idea. I picked this up from the library because of the author‘s recipe for peanut butter noodles, but that recipe isn‘t actually in this book. I loved the stories he shared throughout.

The pictured page is the page I‘m most excited about. I love when cookbooks teach you how to create your own recipes, rather than just teaching you how to make theirs. Overall, this book was a #borrownotbuy for me. I loved the snippets of stories included with each recipe. I loved the photos too. However, most of the recipes were too far out of my comfort zone, so there were few I think I‘d actually make. Still, this was a solid book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

I couldn‘t help making a grid collage of some of the images in this cookbook. The photographer did an amazing job! This cookbook is a joy to flip through! 🥰 #cookbooks #saladlove #salads

For @dabbe here are my Kate and Pippa. Pippa is the tuxedo in the back and Kate is the tortie. They prefer naps to reading.
