Jessica Simpson was honest and open, true to the book‘s title. I gave this book 3.5/5 stars on Fable, which is so-so for me. I can‘t say I would recommend the book unless to a real fan (which admittedly, I couldn‘t name a single song of hers before reading and I‘ve possibly already forgotten the names of her hits). I will say, I never liked John Mayer before, but now I have reason to dislike him. What a misogynistic kook.
This book was so good and so enlightening to the life of Britney. So incredibly sad what happened to her and I loved hearing her tell her story her way.
We stopped by the Harland Sanders KFC Muesum in Kentucky today and found this gem. Anyone happen to have read Tender Wings of Desire? And why do I think I might need to? 🤣🤣
I know this has gotten mixed reviews but I liked it. At an exclusive island resort for A-list celebrities, a place where they can party and unwind without the eyes of the press or randos on them, bodies are found, but who among them has been killed? Pretty much all the characters are awful, and they all have secrets, which slowly unfold as it‘s learned who has met their end.

Ok, so I‘m on a celebrity memoir, author-read audiobook tour (of my own making) and I had no idea what I was getting myself into with this book. Paris is unbelievably honest and vulnerable. There is so much to unpack and I don‘t know where to begin unpacking. I wish I read this as part of a book club.
I didn‘t get to do a huge amount of outdoor sit-n-read earlier because it was kinda cold, with impending rain. (Three cheers for my superlight umbrella!) I did start another Jackie Lau novella in front of this ruin, though! The wall was part of a 16th century townhouse that was destroyed in the 1940 bombings. Behind me, a post-war building has incorporated the townhouse‘s chapel, which looks mostly intact.
I listened to the audiobook and loved it because Pamela read it. I‘ve always been a fan of her, always, so maybe I‘m biased. I also just saw her in The Last Showgirl and that was fantastic. She‘s an incredible woman and I feel so lucky that she shared her memoir with us.
This was a fascinating look into the lives of fictional child stars!
The story follows three child stars as they navigate fame and all that comes with it. The book is broken up into 3 parts, with each part taking place during a different decade (2006-2008, 2018, and 2028), so we got to see the characters age and grow.
