I only have the first four volumes of this manga series (so far) but the alternating black and white spines always catch my eye at the bookstore when they are all lined up.
The cover art is also pretty amazeballs. To be honest, those two things are what made me even give the series a go in the first place. 😊
I first read about Capote‘s 1966 Black & White Ball in the historical fiction, Swans of Fifth Ave. Now I can‘t get enough of 40s-60s NYC. I‘m fascinated by Babe Paley, Slim Keith, Gloria Guinness and their cigarette-smoking, lunch-in-the-city, weekend-in-the-Hamptons world. They were the OG RHONY!
