I'm sorry but I forgot to post yesterday! I had a very successful reading day seeing as I had something on in the morning and evening. I managed to read for about 4 hours and I listened to an audio book for 1 hour and 20 minutes whilst driving around! It would have been longer but I had a little nanna nap in the afternoon which was glorious and I woke up dribbling! 🤣🤣

My #AUDayReadathon hasn‘t worked out too well for me. Pop-in visitors, foster kitten messes, long town breakfast in the park... But I still have 5 hours to go. Everyone else seems to be doing well!

This was a compelling read. Non-stop and the writing was so vivid I FELT the fear and danger. #AmericanDirt

Exit West: A Novel | Mohsin Hamid

Gonna get in a chapter or two of this one that I‘m re-reading with my 17yo who‘s reading it for the first time for ATAR (Year 12) which commences on 3rd Feb.

I‘m bribing him in that he wants a driving lesson and I want this book read 😂👍. He‘s complaining vociferously about the flowery writing and long sentences. Critique away I say, as long as you can back it up 🤓😁.
