Time to start a new play for Sunday morning breakfast with Shakespeare.

I completely forgot about this as I was considering my reading for this week, so I‘m glad I happened to see some reminder posts. I joined this readalong late, but it‘s amazing to see how some of you are finishing a complete read through of the plays with this one.

I‘m a few weeks behind schedule, but today‘s Sunday morning #BookAndBreakfast included a breakfast enchilada and finally starting Henry VIII.

Mehso-so

No book and breakfast photo today, but I did finish a chocolate cake for a church dinner before listening to the rest of Coriolanus this morning. There‘s just too much flip flopping in this story for me. I was somewhat amused by the drama of the last two acts and appreciated how it all wrapped up.

Pickpick

I listened to Act IV last night and then went ahead and finished the play. I enjoyed this one, but I couldn‘t help but be a bit disappointed in the ending. I would have liked some of the happy ending with Proteus also getting what he deserved, but of course that was not to be.

I‘ve also been participating in this readalong for 2 years now and love seeing the increase in post-its for plays read.

Pickpick

I got behind on reading this one and once I caught up through Act IV this morning, I just decided to finish it. This play is a bit all over the place, some aspects are completely unbelievable, and everything just kind of happens to the title character. Yet, it made me laugh, kept me interested, and had a happy ending. Overall, I found it incredibly entertaining.

Starting another Sunday morning with a bit of Shakespeare before heading to church. This is another play I know nothing about, but with that first act I‘m curious to see where it goes.

I got up early this morning to fit in a bit more time for the #readathon and finish Romeo & Juliet along with making breakfast. I don‘t think I‘ve reread the play itself since high school, and I did appreciate it more than I did then and more than several other plays that I‘ve read since.

It‘s time for more Sunday morning Shakespeare. Usually I read from my complete works of Shakespeare while listening, but this time I plan to use this parallel version a friend shared with me and then pass it on to someone else. It‘s been many years since I last read Romeo & Juliet, and I‘m curious to see how it compares after reading several other plays.

Sunday morning Shakespeare with breakfast

I know absolutely nothing about this play, so I‘m intrigued to continue after reading the introductory post by @Graywacke and the first act.

TheBookHippie ME TOO! I am fascinated! 3y
Klamm Love that you have the recording and text side by side! Never thought about doing that for Shakespeare but it makes so much sense.. 3y
Daisey @Klamm I generally cannot sync up my reading and listening well, but for Shakespeare it‘s my favorite method. The audio helps with the performance aspect of a play, but the text helps me actually keep track of location and who is talking. 3y
