The first book was not instant gratification with the world building and characters but I was intrigued by the concept and continued with book 2. I‘m so glad I stuck with it because this was so good, especially the twists at the end. I love where it‘s going with the magic, politics and relationships. Looking forward to book 3!

The ending was amazing but man was this book to long! I struggled until around page 300 and then it was super easy read. I don‘t know why the concept of less can be more is lost on some. Just edit down some of these books please! So for that reason⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🙂

My next #readyourkindle pick this month is this new release and second book in the series. We are left with tons of unanswered questions and a cliffhanger ending. I still love our FMC Lin and of course the dynamic between Kel and Prince Conor. This one focused on their alliances and relationships with a hint of magic which I always love. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The last 100 or so pages you sit there and start theorizing which twists are going to twist (and how) and which plot points will be exposed (and finalized). SO much has been left unanswered and even with the few discoveries that will help create a smooth transition into book 3- I am antsy and annoyed.
