I do love his writing so. Nothing much happens (I seem to enjoy this in a book) but the jumping between young Eamon and grown up Eamon works so well. I think I might go hunt out more books.

I picked up two books from my local second hand bookshop today. Both authors Bernhard Schlink and Colm Toibin I know, but I have not heard of the books. The one by Bernard Schlink is set in Sydney. This is also my latest sewing project on the go again now that the days are cooling down ā¯„ļø¸š¨

Freespirit @Crazeedi I love making things. I used to do a lot of sewing when my children were young. Now I make 1-2 quilts a year. It's a lovely hobby. I have made some great friends through it also. When I retire I will do more...I hopeš 5y

I enjoyed this one very much. Toibin writes so honest, his personages are so real. Nothing much happens, it is just those people and the way they think and act. Not too nice, not too perfect, just very very human.
This is the story of an Irish judge, a very introvert man, who doesn't really realize he needs other people until it is too late. Or almost. #1001books Read it on the day of the British Brexit referendum.
