I loved the 2nd book of the Spice Isle Bakery Mystery series just as much as the 1st. I love the family dynamic and all of their customers. Though my favorite is the grandma. She just sits up front crocheting and gossiping with her customers. The Murray family is once again faced with another murder too close to home. This time though it's the mom the community is suspicious of. I love that the family pulls together to figure it out

Hard Dough Homicide is a strong character-driven cozy mystery. I enjoy the way Ms. Matthews tells a story. The theme is fresh, the characters are interesting and entertaining.

Genuinely enjoyed book 2 in this series, but our MC still frustrates me with her refusal to cut the detective some slack. He don‘t know you anymore and he has a job to do. Just because he knows someone doesn‘t mean he can get away with not interviewing them. That‘s the Moy thing I wish would change about these books. Otherwise, great mysteries and delicious food!

Lyndsay Murray‘s Caribbean bakery is once again embroiled in a murder when a client ends up dead at a retirement party. To protect her business & her family, Lyndsay is going to get to the bottom of this mystery.

This was charming. Stood on its own well, with an interesting mystery with lots of suspects. My favorite part was all of the family interactions & support for the main character. Not a fan of her two possible love interests. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
