Citizen K-9
Citizen K-9 | David Rosenfelt
5 posts | 5 read | 2 to read
In Citizen K-9, bestselling author David Rosenfelt masterfully blends mystery with dogs and humor to create an investigative team that readers will be rooting for book after book. The Paterson Police Department has created a cold case division, and they want to hire the private investigators known as the K Team to look into the crimes. After all, Corey Douglas and his K-9 partner, German shepherd Simon Garfunkel, recently retired from the force. Plus, another K Team member, Laurie Collins, used to be a cop as well. Their first cold case hits home for the K Team. A decade ago, at Laurie's tenth high school reunion, two of their friends simply... vanished. At the time Laurie had just left the force, and Corey was in a different department, so they had no choice but to watch from the sidelines. With no leads, the case went cold. As the team starts to delve deeper into the events leading up to that nightreopening old wounds along the waythe pieces start to come together. But someone wants to stop them from uncovering the truth behind the disappearance, by any means necessary.

Not as impressive as the previous case which is actually a case two books from now 😂 I still don't like Corey and his trigger happy finger, but I will admit that the K team cases are more exciting from an action pov. We got some fun revelations related to Andy and Marcus 😂 But it did end on a bit of an info dump, which was ok but not ideal. Let's see what's next #crime #mystery

This mystery starring ex-cop Corey Douglas—and his human and canine partners—is funny and sarcastic, and has enough red herrings to keep you on your toes. Publication is expected March 15. Read my full review here: https://debbybrauer.org/#citizen-k9-the-k-team-3

The 3rd installment of the K-Team series is an entertaining & exciting read! It also marks the first time that I also listened to the audio! Well-performed and with the customary humor, I was always eager to get back to listening (or reading)- I may prefer the Andy Carpenter books, but I do enjoy this spin-off series quite a bit! Simon Garfunkel is a fun character and Marcus actually opens up a bit here! An unpredictable cold case adds to the fun!

Twainy I also enjoyed this book. More dogs!! 2y
TorieStorieS @Twainy I love Rosenfelt and his love for dogs that shines through every book he writes!! 2y

🎧 This is the 3rd K-Team book. I didn‘t realize that until I finished it & have since picked up the first 2! I also read this last week. I think I‘m all caught up with reviews.

Short, interesting private investigator story. The MC & his K-9 Simon were on the police force with Laurie. They have since left the force & contract with them to solve cold cases.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Publication Date 3/15/2022

Twainy This book is about one of the cold cases. They find out quickly that it‘s a case they have knowledge of from their past & the perpetrators want the crime to remain unsolved at any cost.

I enjoyed the story as it unfolded. There were a few surprises and Corey was pretty funny. I need to go read the other two books now. Great quick fun action packed read!!
