The conclusion to the Archives of the Invisible Sword trilogy takes a bit of a different turn. The end of Book 2 felt like it had wrapped up most of the loose threads. Here, the two main characters head off to a different city and have a completely different adventure. I was actually fine with it, but this weirdly doesn't feel like the conclusion of a trilogy - more like a stand-alone set in the same world with the characters, if that makes sense⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) It was fun to see more of the kingdom and some different types/uses of the magic in this world. I kind of wish this story had also been two books because there is a lot of material here that could have been fleshed out more. Like the others, the pacing is a bit too chaotic at times, but the likable characters pulls this one through.

I can't believe it is already the last week of June!! I'm sure I'll be able to read everything in the windowsill this week, right?? 😂 #WeeklyForecast - hoping to finish the tagged book today (actually finished The City of Zirdai yesterday). Forestborn is my #14books14weeks2023 read for this week, and if I like it, I'll read Wildbound as well, which is the sequel. Identity is already overdue at the library, so it's pretty high priority, and ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) Happy Place is due Thursday, so I need to get to that one as well!! The Grand Sophy is my #LMPBC read this month, so it also needs attention. So seven books in seven days is definitely doable 😆 We'll see how far I can get!!

This book explored so many new places and I really enjoyed the continued world building. The suspense and adventure was non-stop and the plot twists always kept me guessing!

As usual this was another fun, fast paced story, and a fantastic conclusion the The Archives of the Invisible Sword. If you are a fan of Maria V Snyder's other series yoy will love this trilogy!
