I enjoyed book two more than book one. It still feels a little slow, but like the first one, I believe it's just building plot!
So many secrets were revealed in this one! I really love all the characters in this book. I feel so bad for Auren. She's such a nice person, and none of the other 'saddles' care to give her a chance due to their jealousy.
I can't wait to see where this series goes.
I have been a big fan of this series so far. While a pretty predictable trope of enemies-to-lovers, I love the way that it has been done. It reminds me a bit of the Throne of Glass series that I adore. This main character starts out as a strong female lead but you see her grow even more in this book. The tension between Auren and Rip is palpable through the pages. When she ends up picking Midas is disappointing but clearly what was going to happen
