A bit of French reading for my book club. A man saves a Montreal mob boss‘s life and to pay him back, the mafia boss tells him he gets to pick five people to die. Pretty good book, interesting story and well paced.

#Top6Reads of the first half of 2020. Thanks for the tag @Book_Fiend_Melissa
Fun fact, I got to meet the writer of the tag book! A member of my book club, a work collaborator of his, proposed he attend, which he did! He was generous with recollections of his writing period and inspiration. He even sent us the first 9 chapters of the sequel to read since. Great experience!

@OhBOOOOK want to play?

MsMelissa Ok, so the Marcher sur un Lego has me intrigued. Please tell me more about it since the title is funny 😂 4y
Josee.lit.a.lu.et.lira @Book_Fiend_Melissa the author comments on the irritants and incongruities of daily life such as Christmas elves, prefaces, printers, wine, etc. Each chapter addresses exasperating situations in which we find ourselves at one time or another, with an obvious comedy narrative. Writing aloud what many keep inside ;) He really cracked me up! I was laughing so loud, my BF could not sleep 😂 His books don't appear to be translated 😕
