pickImmensely silly, made me laugh out loud so many times. Perhaps not as good as Ayoade On Top but then that‘s probably the funniest thing I‘ve ever read, so a high standard to hold it to. Ayoade is so surreal but also puts his finger exactly on what makes wanky film writing so infuriating.

Finished off a few (very short) books and managed to read all of All About Love yesterday, and continued listening to the excellent but very long Stamped From The Beginning. I‘m trying to vary my reading for my #blacklivesmatter themed readathon to balance light and dark and make sure I #readblackjoy so I‘ve just started Ayoade on Ayoade. He‘s got to be the silliest writer I‘ve ever read, LOVE him

so-soNot sure... decided about half way through that this is a pick-up-occasionally/dip-in-out book. I laughed very hard a some points early on and laughed again the next day, remembering them. However, after a while I realised it wasn't amusing me in the same way, mainly because I like to race through and Ayoade on Ayoade is too intense for high speed consumption.
Sam has been laughing at this all week. I‘ve just read about 10 chapters and it‘s hilarious! You can open it anywhere and read that story. The layout is great 😂❤️

This is my #slowread, because honestly, it is too side-splittingly funny to be read longer than in 20 minute stretches. This man is not only adorable but highly hilarious. And honestly, ANYTHING that can make me laugh in the current climate is a very precious commodity. #readjanuary

pickThis is a pretty quirky book to say the least. I'd recommend getting familiar with Ayoade's work before reading. It'll likely make you hear his voice while reading and who doesn't want that?
There's not really an accurate way to describe this book other than that it is wonderfully comedic.
